1 am directed to inform you that, in con-

-sequence of reports made by Dr. Bell and Dr. Moore for being drunk on or about the 17th. August last and for being drunk while on duty on or about the 25th. instant, His Excellency the Governor intends to suspend you from the exercise of the powers and functions of your office of Wardmaster in the Government Civil Hospital.

Copies are enclosed of the reports by uzs.

I am to call upon you to state in writing to be received by me before noon on Wednesday 2nd. May the grounds upon which you may rely to exculpate yourself.
